The Music Teacher at Wright Elementary School, Janet Romine, worked up a skit with some of our 4th and 5th graders. They portrayed characters that lived during 1814. The skit explained what was happening in history during this time and why Francis Scott Key wrote the poem. We had a power point presentation to go along with this showing each phrase of the song and the characters explained what the phrase meant. At 9:00 the entire school - over 500 students and adults - sang the National Anthem together.
