Band classes wrote reports and made poster projects on our National Anthem, the history, Francis Scott Key, etc and were put them on display in school library. Patriotic pencils made with National Anthem Day engraved on them and gave them as rewards to my classes that day! 850 Elementary students spent an enjoyable month learning about our anthem as well as musical elements at Silver Lakes Elementary and on Sept 14 performed it as a group.
