Music teacher Sharon Vela of Belshaw Elementary School assembled the 3rd through 5th graders, teachers, parents and school board members for their event. Francis Parker School 
Darleen Herriman, music teacher at Francis Parker School, held a special flagraising ceremony at our Lower School and invited parents to attend. Prior to all assembled (approximately 500 students and adults) singing The Star Spangled Banner together, two 5th graders led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, then three 4th grade student narrators took turns telling the story of the historic events that inspired Francis Scott Key to write his poem.
