HI,
1) I have a problem. Most of my students that music time is a chore to them. I teach steel pans to 7th graders, by the way. I try to make it fun, but they seem to want to take the easy way out and want insta -success in learning. How do I teach them that this is not possible and not have to tell them again.
2) When they seem to want something they expect me to the work for them,whether it is getting into festivals, or winning competitions. It seems like the work ethic is not there. How can I change that now?
