The National Anthem Project Finale
Plan Your School's Summer 2007 Trip to the Finale!
On Flag Day (June 14) 2007, thousands will gather in Washington, DC to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” with one voice on the National Mall. This historic occasion will culminate the campaign to restore America’s voice through music education.
Bands, choirs and orchestras representing every state in the nation will make history as the largest school music ensemble ever assembled in one location. This historic event will be covered by national television and print media will take place on the National Mall. Other festivities will include a special concert by the U.S. Marine Band in D.C. and the esteemed Drum Corps International in Annapolis, MD.
On June 15, a vocal and instrumental ensemble from each state will perform in the National Anthem Project - Musical Salute to America. These performing groups will provide a thirty minute concert scheduled at one of ten of Washington DC's notable venues including memorials, monuments, museums, and historic sites.
These special events are produced by the American Musical Salute, the official tour and concert provider for the National Anthem Project. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come-first-served basis, so register today!
